Leaving (Charcoal and Conte on Paper. Size: 20 in. x 28 in.)

This is a conte’ pencil drawing of an oil painting that I had done earlier. Normally, the drawing comes first and then the painting. But here I did the drawing much later.Some themes just linger within you till you’ve got them out of your system through several modes of expression. This is about my domestic servant who was so mercilessly abused that finally she left home with her child.
